MyFinancial.desktop (MyFD) is retiring

MyFinancial.desktop (MyFD) is retiring to support UW Finance Transformation (UWFT) and the implementation of Workday Finance. To learn more see the Frequently Asked Questions.

MyFinancial.desktop provides access to online financial reports, including:

MyFD maintains reports for the full retention period; the current biennium and the three previous biennia worth of data are available online via MyFD.

Budget Lists

Budget Lists provide an overview of multiple budgets, at a glance, including the budget name and number, budgeted amount and remaining amount.  Users can create customized budget lists, as needed.  Some users may have a default budget list called “My Designee List” that is not editable. Budget Lists only display information for budgets for which you have been granted ASTRA authorization.

Budget Profile

Budget profile provides information about the budget including start and end dates, status, PI name and EID, date last updated, and organization code.  The Budget Profile contains no financial information and is not limited by access; anyone with access to MyFD may look at the Budget Profile for any budget. Fields in the Budget Profile may not be queried.

Budget Summary

The Budget Summary is the online equivalent to the Budget Summary Report (now retired). The Budget Summary includes budgeted amounts, encumbrances, open balances, transaction totals, and budget balances (remaining amounts). This report is not limited by access; anyone with access to MyFD may look at the Budget Summary Report for any budget.

* A note about Reporting Period: MyFD automatically displays the correct Project Reporting Period for each specific budget type and by extension, the correct Remaining Budgeted Amount. For grant budgets the "Activity to Date" option is available; for state budgets, the "Fiscal Year" and "Biennium" options are available. Most state budgets do not use the Project Reporting Period accounting flag, so making a different selection (like Activity to Date) on a state budget would actually work against displaying the correct Remaining Budgeted Amount.

Budget Worksheet

The Budget Worksheet is an individual planning tool that allows users to see a budget balance as a result of future spending or income by manually adding entries. MyFD uses the manual entries to automatically calculate what the budget balance could look like if all of the commitments and income are completed. Budget Worksheet allows each user to create and modify one worksheet per budget to which you have been granted ASTRA access.

Encumbrances and Open Balances

The Encumbrances and Open Balances report includes detailed information about remaining encumbrances processed through FAS and remaining open balance amounts from Ariba orders. It includes the description, reference number, date encumbered, date of last activity, open balance amount, estimated tax, and total amount. This report is not limited by access; anyone with access to MyFD may look at the Encumbrances & Open Balances Report for any budget.

Reconciliation

The Reconciliation report provides users with a convenient, online method of monitoring their transactions. Some of the many features of the Reconciliation report are the ability to check transactions as reconciled or flag for follow up, record comments and notes, view budget revision amounts, link directly to many source documents, and electronically sign off on budget activity. You can perform reconciliation duties for budgets or organization codes for which you have been granted ASTRA authorization.

Reconciliation Status

The Reconciliation Status report provides an activity-to-date view of the reconciliation status for either a single budget number or a pre-existing budget list in a three month timeframe. Reconciliation Status is available on budgets for which you have been granted ASTRA authorization.

Transaction Detail

The Transaction Detail report provides details about individual transactions including transaction description, reference fields, type of transaction, PCA codes, and reconciliation information. Information in the Transaction Description can be queried.

Transaction Summary

The Transaction Summary is the online equivalent to the Budget Activity Report (now retired). It displays individual transactions that impacted the budget, by account code, during a reporting period. This report is not limited by access; anyone with access to MyFD may look at the Transaction Summary Report for any budget.
