Who is considered a leader in F2?

Anyone who is functioning in a supervisory or managerial role is considered a leader.  In addition, those who lead a team or a project or who have unique technical expertise, are also considered leaders.  Strategy Management maintains a list of F2 leaders, as designated by their units, and these leaders are invited to participate in the programs and services offered.

Leadership Education

Strategy Management designs and delivers education for leaders that responds to needs identified within the F2 units or across F2 as a whole. Click here to view a calendar of upcoming offerings. Below are a sample leadership-related courses we offer periodically. Unless otherwise noted, these courses are available to all leaders in F2.  Check the F2 course catalog for more information.

Team Development

"A team is a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals, and approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable." (Source: Katzenbach and Smith: The Wisdom of Teams, 1994)

Teams invariably contribute significant achievements. True teams generate more creative ideas than individuals alone. Multiple skills and strengths can be drawn from several people. Teams are more flexible than structured organizational units. Teams help manage change more efficiently.
