With over 1,400 employees, F2 (Finance and Facilities) is one of the largest administrative units at the University of Washington.

It’s also one of the most diverse – with accountants, landscapers, electricians, architects, investment advisors, truck drivers, graphic artists, project managers, tax experts, investigators, custodians and analysts among its ranks.

A single mission aligns and guides F2’s priorities – helping people who change the world. And, to fulfill this mission, F2 is practicing Lean, a dynamic process improvement method.

To put it simply, Lean is transforming F2 into a principle-based organization with an engaged workforce that embraces change.
