As the graph below shows, our electricity consumption and building space have a strong correlation to each other. To see a graph showing the yearly consumption patterns related to on campus population, click on the green dot below to go to the next page.

As part of the SmartGrid project, the UW worked with several partners to install energy meters on individual buildings on campus, and develop the University of Washington Energy Dashboard, which allows users to see real time energy use by building, and compare energy use of buildings side by side.
