SFS Services for Parents

student and parents

  • For the second year in a row, Student Fiscal Services has been UW Green Office Certified at the Silver level for having sustainable, “green” office practices. SFS is one of many offices at UW which conscientiously strives to decrease its environmental footprint to not only help the environment, but to improve the workplace overall. For more information, see UW’s Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability website.

  • Please take a moment to complete our (completely confidential) annual Customer Satisfaction Survey.

This is your chance to give your feedback about the part of the UW that disburses your aid money, issues refunds, reviews tuition forfeiture petitions, posts and updates your tuition bill, collects your tuition payments and issues student-related tax forms.

  • Spring 2014 tuition due date is Friday, April 18, 2014. For your current balance, check your tuition statement on MyUW. For more information about payment options, see our Tuition Payment page. More information about tuition rates is available on the Office of Planning & Budgeting website.

  • If a student is not signed up for direct deposit, any refund or financial aid checks will automatically be mailed to the student’s local address on file. Students must maintain up-to-date address information on MyUW to avoid any postal delays. Aid checks may take up to 10 business days to reach the student by mail; signing up for direct deposit is strongly encouraged for students to receive funds quickly and safely.

For refunds of parent PLUS loans where the parent has designated that the funds not be sent to the student, a refund check will be sent to the parent address supplied on the Master Promissory Note and PLUS Loan Application.

  • Want to save yourself some time and help the UW go green? Students may choose to receive the IRS Form 1098-T electronically instead of waiting to have it printed and delivered in the mail. Log on to your MyUW account and select the Electronic IRS Form 1098-T Consent option. Doing so will allow students and authorized parents or guardians, to access 1098-T tax forms from your MyUW account as soon as they are available. It’s fast, it’s easy, and it’s GREEN!
