Guide to the Appropriate Use of Social Security Numbers (SSNs)
This guide has been developed to assist UW staff to understand their role and responsibilities in the appropriate use of SSNs.  Anyone who is accountable for the management of SSN data must become familiar with this guide and other university-wide and departmental policies, standards, and procedures related to records management and information security.
