F&A Basics Overview - Inventory, Budgets, Non-reimbursable Costs

The F&A Basics training covers key components that should be completed prior to the space functionalization process.  You will learn about how to conduct a space inventory, how to review your budgets and cost pool assignments, and how to identify and track A-21i non-reimbursable costs.  These sessions are open to all campus units.  To register for one of the sessions via e-mail click on the date below, or e-mail fahelp@uw.edu directly with the date in the subject line.

Space Functionalization - General Overview

The Space Functionalization training covers the space utilization survey and functional coding process described on our Space Survey 2013 web page.  The School of Medicine training session will focus on topics specific to SOM, but other campus units are welcome to attend as space permits.  To register for one of the sessions via e-mail click on the date below, or e-mail fahelp@uw.edu directly with the date in the subject line.

Space Functionalization - 1-on-1 Hands-on Training

These informal hands-on space functionalization training sessions will cover the necessary steps to functionalize your department's space in the University's Space Inventory Management System, or GeoSIMS.  These sessions are intended to provide guidance to you as you functionalize space, and assist you with entering your functionalization data directly into GeoSIMS.  You should have a general understanding of the functionalization process and GeoSIMS and should bring actual data if possible. 

These sessions will focus on topics specific to the respective school or college, but other campus units are welcome to attend any of these sessions as space permits.  To register for one of these sessions via e-mail click on the date below, or e-mail fahelp@uw.edu directly with the date in the subject line.  If you are unfamiliar with GeoSIMS, scroll down to the next section for the GeoSIMS general hands-on sessions.

GeoSIMS Hands-on Training
