Training Opportunities

There are several different free trainings offered by Equipment Inventory.  Please see below for brief descriptions and click on the links for more detailed information.

General Inventory Procedures

This course is strongly encouraged for all inventory contacts and covers the day to day duties of an inventory contact - everything from ordering, tagging, reporting, and disposing of equipment.  It also provides tools and tips for inventory contacts to do their job successfully.

OASIS Training

This course is strongly encouraged for all inventory contacts especially those with 40 assets or more. It is held in a computer lab and teaches how to use OASIS, the University's web based fixed asset system.  General Inventory Procedures is a pre-requisite for this course.

Physical Inventory Training

This course is optional for inventory contacts though it is strongly encouraged for anyone who will be performing a physical inventory.   It covers inventory regulations, steps to complete your inventory, and various tips and tricks for making the inventory process easier.

Custom Training

Custom training (though it is not common) is offered on an as-needed basis.  Special needs must be determined for cost effectiveness.
