Address Requirements for Campus Mail
U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mail requires different address formats for campus departments located on campus and those located off campus.
For on-campus departments, using the campus box numbers pinpoints the location for the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and mail arrives already sorted at Mailing Services. For off-campus departments, USPS delivers mail directly to the street address, which eliminates the processing step required if a box number is used and mail is delivered to Mailing Services.
Internal campus mailI uses the same format for both on- and off-campus addresses. Note: UPS, Federal Express, and other private carriers will not deliver to your box number. Provide them with either your street address or your building name and room number.
