UW Mailing Services now operates with the latest in postal digital tracking

Vuetura Trac allows instant reporting between Mailing Services and UW clients when tracking accountable mail^I – packages and registered, express and insured letters. Copy jobs and print orders, such as business cards and envelopes, are also scanned for tracking.

The system uses four high-speed computer stations split between the main Mailing Services operation and the new UW Tower office. Mail carriers employ 12 hand-held computers on their routes to collect the signatures electronically.

Future plans for the tracking system include e-mail notification to recipients, along with a tracking number and link to a tracking website.
