In partnership with Total Reclaim and UW Recycling, we hosted an E-Waste recycling collection event at the UW Sustainability Summit. 632 pounds of personal electronic items (listed below) were accepted at this event. Electronic equipment purchased with UW funds MUST be disposed of through UW Surplus. Instructions for how to dispose of UW equipment properly can be found here.

Acceptable items (personal items only):
- Computers
- Monitors (CRT, LCD)
- Printers (fax, copy)
- Laptops
- Servers, routers
- Office machines
- Televisions
- VCRs, DVD players, cable boxes
- Stereos, audio components
- Communications equipment
- Miscellaneous electronics
- Cell phones, PDAs
Items that were NOT be accepted:
- Any electronic equipment purchased with UW funds - see instructions for proper disposal
- Batteries - find an e.Media waste bin for disposal
- Lamps and ballasts - refer to recycling guidelines for disposal
